About me

My name’s Tim, I was a lucky kid, we moved to Australia when I was 5 and in our first house my Dad insisted we put in a pool, an above ground fibre thing that I loved – spent every possible minute in. When I was 12 we moved houses and this time we had a proper in ground pool – sure, my chore was to clean it but I didn’t care.

Since I’ve grown up, I’ve spent every chance I can swimming – rock pools, swimming pools, seas and lakes. Having been back to England, where the climate makes swimming a luxury, I understand how lucky we are in Australia. During my time I’ve come across some unusual and fascinating pools I felt I wanted to write about.
